Feeding the world’s growing population
New Zealand’s reputation as a quality food producer is growing.
The Fertiliser Association of New Zealand promotes and encourages responsible and scientifically-based nutrient management.
This means that no fertiliser should be lost to the environment during transport, storage and any other handling operations, thus avoiding any possible adverse environmental effects. Contamination arising from handling, transport, or storage problems is a point source (i.e. highly localised) contamination, which can be effectively managed and contained if appropriate actions are taken immediately.
