Introduction
Methods used to derive guideline values for cadmium in soil were reviewed by Landcare Research to assist the Cadmium Management Group to identify how it will develop a set of New Zealand-derived, risk-based soil guideline values (SGV) to manage cadmium accumulation in soils on production land. The project was funded by the Fertiliser Association of New Zealand, the Ministry for Primary Industries and Landcare Research, and complements a 2012 project for the Ministry.
